Aftercare Rehab
Discharge plans for Drug Rehab and Alcohol Rehab completion play a very important role in early recovery. Before a patients discharge (usually about 1-2 weeks prior) the clinical team has identified problems and issues specific to the patient. Recommendations are made based on the this, and solutions are given. Daily 12 step attendance, private counseling , and outpatient treatment are typically some of the most common recommendations made. The patient must now apply what he/she has learned in treatment in order to succeed in recovery. The tools have been given, but it is the patients job to use them.
Often times many patients elect to go to a ½ way house or a sober living environment. This allows a patient to slowly ease back into society with support, and structure.
